Best Fresh Seafood Restaurants in Naples, Florida

USS Nemo

If you are looking for a fantastic, fresh seafood restaurant located right in the heart of Naples, you should consider checking out the USS Nemo. This restaurant is located in a small strip mall right off Tamiami Trail N. While the idea of eating in a strip mall dining room might seem strange, this place is beloved by guests and even has somewhat of a cult following.

Zagat Surveys show the USS Nemo has been voted as one of the best restaurants in Naples. You should try their signature miso-broiled sea bass, which many customers rave about. We recommend ordering an extra side of the citrus ginger butter sauce since it seems like you can never have enough for the perfectly cooked bass. The decor is a cheeky nautical theme that fits well with the atmosphere. The prices are slightly above average but well worth it.

If you are looking for something a bit more upscale for a date night, then Truluck’s might be the best choice for you. Located just a few steps from the luxurious business district on Fifth Avenue South, Truluck’s boasts some of the freshest seafood in town. It reminds us of a modern European coastal setting, which takes the romantic ambiance up a notch. The quiet and dark atmosphere is perfect for sipping a glass of wine or drinking a martini with friends or loved ones.

The best part about Truluck’s is that they work with local Florida crabbers to bring you the freshest Florida stone crab legs. Within a mere twenty-four hours after being caught, the stone crabs are delivered to the restaurant for customers to enjoy with a garlic butter sauce. The prices are higher than other casual dining seafood restaurants, but we think the tasty dishes are well worth it.

Mr. Big Fish Seafood & Bar

Let’s take a step down to casual and familial with Mr. Big Fish Seafood & Bar. It sits in the corner of the Neapolitan Way Shopping Center, which makes it feel like it’s in a standalone building. Mr. Big Fish is dedicated to treating each customer like family to perpetuate their restaurant’s hometown feel.

While this place may not be known for anything in particular, all of the seafood dishes are fresh and tasty. You can get huge seafood towers on a budget. We were big fans of the daily happy hour from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm. You can get $1 oysters, $2 off all alcoholic beverages, and $3 off select items on their Bar Bait menu. You can expect this menu to have typical pub grub for relatively cheap. The amazing food and family atmosphere make this place a must-visit.

Best Italian Restaurants in Naples, FL

Osteria Tulia

Imagine a sunny afternoon in the rolling hills of Tuscany with a bottle of wine and friendly Italian locals showing you their favorite dishes. That is exactly how you will feel when you step into Osteria Tulia. “Osteria” is an Italian phrase and concept that refers to a small, inexpensive, and family-oriented eatery serving food and drinks.

At Osteria Tulia, the rustic Italian villa vibe welcomes patrons to sit, chat, and eat for hours. They also have a welcoming outdoor patio if you want to eat al fresco style. The menu showcases the rustic side of authentic Italian cuisine with pizza, pasta, and seafood options. No Italian restaurant would be complete without a fine wine menu. You can order from their award-winning wine list by glass or bottle for reasonable prices. This is considered by many to be the best Italian restaurant in Naples.

Caffe dell’Amore

This restaurant focuses more on the traditional Italian dishes as opposed to the rustic cuisines. You will find the low lighting and big tables welcoming and cozy. Caffe dell’Amore offers a traditional Italian food menu with above-average prices, so we recommend this option for a special date night.

They are known for their fantastic pasta dishes, so be prepared to make a tough choice between their staple white truffle sacchettini or the evening pasta special. The small and intimate setting made us want to come back every night for Italian cuisine and classy drinks.

Cosmos Ristorante & Pizzeria

This category would not be complete without including at least one pizza restaurant. Cosmos Ristorante & Pizzeria offers the best pizza in Naples. They also offer other Italian classics, but with this restaurant, we want to focus on pizza. They offer all of the standard options with a few specialty pies as well. The prices are reasonable, and the portions are huge.

Whether you go with classic cheese pizza or Cosmo’s famous pie, you will be able to taste the traditional recipes that have been passed down through many generations. We recommend ordering takeout if you want to have a movie night at home with the family. You can also visit the restaurant in person for a laid-back lunch.

Best Mexican Restaurants in Naples, FL

Taqueria San Julian

To start off this category, we chose a cheap and authentic Mexican restaurant called Taqueria San Julian, located on Bayshore Drive in downtown Naples. With eight different street tacos for $1.50 each and eight different types of quesadillas for only $2.50 each, you can have a whole authentic Mexican meal for under $5. Don’t expect any fancy margaritas or decor. This taqueria offers simple indoor seating with a few picnic tables outside. There is a counter where you order your food, which makes it feel like a street taco truck.

You can even find authentic imported Mexican beers, which will cool you off on a hot Florida day. This is one of the best restaurants for cheap and authentic Mexican cuisine. It is a popular lunch spot with the locals, so try to get your order in early.

Don Tequila Mexican Restaurant

If you are looking for a Mexican restaurant that offers a fiesta vibe, you should check out Don Tequila. This restaurant offers live music every Friday night, which is sure to get people dancing to Mariachi music. You can expect to find colorful and festive decor with bar seating and big tables in the dining room for large parties.

While the prices aren’t quite as cheap as a taqueria, they do have specials during the week. They offer a daily happy hour from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm with half-price drinks and even a free birthday meal for guests. They are known for their oversized burritos, which are sure to fill even the hungriest of customers. We thought their lunch menu specials were pretty impressive. You can order a pretty big lunch for under $8 to $10. The menu is quite extensive, so be prepared to make some tough decisions.

Tacos and Tequila Cantina

If you want to keep up the fiesta vibe and get your fill of margaritas, we recommend checking out Tacos and Tequila Cantina. This Mexican restaurant offers too many tequila options to count. They separate their tequila menu into different flavor profiles so you can easily navigate the menu even if you are unfamiliar with tequila. They even offer mezcal, which can be hard to find at other places.

Tacos and Tequila Cantina offers a more tex-mex menu that runs slightly more expensive than other Mexican restaurants. You can find some specials such as the T&T Taco Kit, which is offered on their takeout menu. You also can get a customized taco kit that feeds up to four people so you can assemble your own tacos at home.

Mykonos Kuzina Greek Restaurant

If you want simple and authentic Greek food, Mykonos Kuzina is a great choice for an evening meal. They serve classic Greek specialties such as gyros and dolmades. They also offer authentic Greek beer and wine, but you will not find any special cocktails on the menu. The service is top-notch, and the owners make it feel like home. Christos and Dena Poulias, originally from Greece, are often walking around the restaurant and talking with guests.

Best German Restaurants in Naples, FL

Black Forest Restaurant

German cuisine is centered around beer and hearty food, and the Black Forest Restaurant does it well. They offer authentic German cuisine, including many different kinds of schnitzels. The prices are cheaper than average, which makes this a go-to lunch spot or a cheap after-work beer place. They offer an early dining menu from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm every day. You can pay one set price and eat many different kinds of German food.

One of our favorite unique things about this restaurant is its sauces-to-go menu. They make all of their sauces in-house, so you can choose one to take home with you. They go great on chicken, beef, and even on toast. You can also get a free apple strudel dessert with every entree when you order from the takeout menu.

Alpine Restaurant

If you want something a bit more upscale, then the Alpine Restaurant has just what you need. The decor is similar to Eastern European restaurants with big tables and white tablecloths. They also offer patio seating where you can bring your dog. The cuisine focuses on European and German dishes, but they also offer basic salads and sandwiches.

The head chef at the Alpine Restaurant, Eva, promises to deliver her style of home-cooked meals to every customer. She cooks with passion, which is apparent in every one of her meals. One fan favorite is the Pilsner Urquell beer on tap. This Czech beer is popular all around Europe, and customers can come in for a happy hour special to get a taste of home.

Pepper’s Deli & Butcher

We wanted to include a classic German deli on our list for anyone who is looking for a quick bite at a reasonable price. Pepper’s Deli & Butcher offers classic German sandwiches, such as different types of schnitzels. You can also get some classic deli soups, like chicken noodle, beef barley, and potato soup. Another great thing about this deli is they offer groceries and butcher services, which can be hard to find in Naples, Florida.

The grocery section offers cold cuts, sausage, liverwurst, and German bologna. They import their cakes from Germany, with the most popular being the Black Forest cake slice. The owners George and Heike went to school in Germany. When they moved to the United States, they knew they wanted to create a classic deli right here in Naples. The family deli vibe is apparent as soon as you walk in the door.

Thai Udon Cafe

With three different locations in Logan Landings, Estero, and Fifth Avenue South, Thai Udon Cafe is convenient and affordable. They offer authentic Thai dishes with rice or noodles and your choice of meat. You can get small plates of traditional Thai food for relatively cheap. One of the best things about Thai Udon Cafe is the daily happy hour from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm. You can order different small plates for discounted prices, which is great for large groups to dig in.

You can expect a more fine dining experience, so we suggest this restaurant for special events and large groups. If you go for the early bird special dinner for two, you can get a great discount and a decent bottle of wine to share.

Komoon Thai Sushi & Ceviche

This Thai restaurant offers two locations in Naples. Komoon Thai Sushi & Ceviche offers a range of different dishes with a focus on Thai and some Japanese fare. The most popular dishes are Thai curry and rice, Pad Thai, and classic Thai stir-fry meals. They offer an extensive menu of sushi and sashimi, which is a bit more expensive than other Naples restaurants.

Komoon offers a happy hour menu with specials on some sushi rolls, appetizers, sake, and wine. While technically a Peruvian dish, Komoon Thai offers four different kinds of ceviche. They make the marinade in-house, and it is always a hit with customers.

Siam Thai Restaurant

Siam Thai Restaurant specializes in classic Thai dishes with an emphasis on customer service. You can expect to find large sushi boats, curry dishes, and vegetarian options. The most popular dish is their red curry, which is a hit with customers. The prices were higher than other Thai restaurants, and the portions were a bit small. However, if you are craving a curry dish, then you can’t go wrong.

Best Waterfront Restaurants in Naples, FL

The Turtle Club

Nothing says Florida more than a waterfront dining restaurant on a hot summer day. The Turtle Club is considered a local favorite and secret, which means it doesn’t attract too many tourists. You can still get a hometown feel at this grill as opposed to a vacation hotspot. The best thing about this place is you can actually put your toes in the sand on the beach while you eat. They offer a large outdoor seating area with umbrellas and chairs directly in the sand.

It sits outside of the Vanderbilt Beach Resort in North Naples, so you have to walk behind it to get to The Turtle Club. Even the walk is beautiful with a stone path, palm trees, and tropical flowers. One special item you can only find at this waterfront restaurant is the Turtle Club Pirate Java, which is an in-house rum that is finished in coffee barrels.

The Dock at Crayton Cove

Another beautiful waterfront restaurant on our list is The Dock at Crayton Cove. They are known for their fancy beach cocktails and fresh seafood. The outdoor bar and patio seating look like a classic Florida beach bar with large wooden high chairs and an old wooden bar top. The Dock first opened their doors in 1976, so they have become a part of Naples history through the years. The Dock also sponsors the annual Great Dock Canoe Race, which is one of Naples’s favorite annual events. As one of the best restaurants in Naples, we recommend booking a table early.

M Waterfront Grille

One of Naples’s classiest restaurants, M Waterfront Grille offers an upscale atmosphere with top-notch food and cocktails. You can look out over the beautiful Naples waterways and canals, which offer some of the best views in town. The indoor decor looks a bit like a modern Italian steakhouse.
