2023 Naples Calendar of Events

ZOObilee Feast with the Beasts 2023

This is one of the most popular annual Naples, Florida, events in support of the Naples Zoo Education and Conservation Initiatives. While you may not be able to gather and have a wild party at the zoo this year due to pandemic restrictions, you can still join in on the fun.

Naples Zoo has partnered with numerous restaurants around the city, so you can dine throughout April and support the zoo. You can purchase a Feast Pass that gives you exclusive offers at many dining locations for all of April. On April 16, the partner restaurants will donate 10% of your bill back to the zoo.

For the week of April 12-18, you can participate in an online silent auction and get a chance to win a zoo experience. Your Feast Pass will also give you access to ZOObilee Family Day on April 18, where you can bring your friends and family to the zoo for an action-packed day.

Artcrafters Fine Art and Craft Show (April 10)

If you are interested in seeing some of the beautiful local arts and crafts around Naples, FL, then check out the monthly Artcrafters Fine Art and Craft Show. This event will be held on April 10, 2021, from 10 AM to 4 PM. For April, the show will be held at Cambier Park in Old Naples.

All of the artists in this show had to undergo a rigorous process to be featured in the Artcrafters show. You can expect to find the best local art using many different mediums, such as oil, acrylic, pen, ink, pastel, photography, jewelry, sculptures, pottery, watercolor, stained glass, and wood carving. This event is completely free of charge. Consider supporting a local artist and buying one of their unique pieces.

International Fest at Mercato (April 10)

The International Fest at Mercato will take place on the event lawn from 11 AM to 4 PM. This is a free, family-friendly event, so you can bring everyone. There will be international cuisine, Celtic dancers, Flamenco guitar, pipes, drums, Mariachi bands, and much more.

You can get up close and personal with many different cultures. After the event, you can experience some of the fine dining and shopping areas located within Mercato. The open-air shopping experience is perfect for summer nights. They even have a large Silverspot Cinema with 12 screens so you can enjoy a family-friendly movie.

If you decide to leave the kids at home and have a date night, you can experience some of the International Fest through the nightlife at Mercato. There are cigar bars, pubs, martini bars, and a nightclub where you can sip cocktails and enjoy an evening out.

America’s Everglades: Through the Lens of Clyde Butcher (April 15-June 15)

When someone says they live in Florida, many people might be inclined to think of a beach with a million tourists. But that’s not the only thing Florida has to offer. The Everglades is one of the most stunning national parks in the United States, and Clyde Butcher has attempted to capture that beauty through his photographs.

From April 15 to June 15, you can visit the Naples Botanical Garden to see his collection of work that spans nearly three decades. Clyde Butcher uses a century-old camera to capture the beauty of the Florida Everglades. These large black and white photographs are sure to please any aspiring photographer or enthusiast.

Minto US Open Pickleball Championship (April 17-24)

It might be harder to find a town that likes pickleball more than this one. In the Naples upcoming events calendar, the East Naples Community Park will be hosting the MINTO US Open Pickleball Championship. The championship will take place on the main pickleball court, which will have limited seating due to COVID-19 restrictions.

The rest of the event is free to walk around and shop at the vendor marketplace, sip tasty beverages, and dine on local food. The main sponsor of this event is Margaritaville, so you can expect to find many different margarita concoctions to enjoy. They even have live music set up in areas of the park to take a break from all the pickleball action.

On April 17, opening day, you can participate in the Margaritaville Party in the Park. You can watch the pros warming up on the Zing Zang Championship Court. The party will take place from 9 AM to 3 PM.

Naples Concert Band at Cambier Park (April 18 and May 7)

If you are a live music aficionado, then the Naples events concert band line up at Cambier Park will be perfect for you. You can catch the Naples Concert Band performing on April 18 from 2 PM to 4 PM. You can also see them perform on May 7 from 7 PM to 9 PM. This band features over 90 musicians playing every different orchestra instrument you can think of.

Sizzle SWFL Restaurant Week Spring Edition (June 3-23)

This event is a semi-annual, community-driven project to showcase some of the best food from the top restaurants in the city. The Sizzle SWFL Restaurant Week event will dive deep into the culinary artistry in Naples by offering three-course meals from $26 to $36. This event showcases more than 65 restaurants and challenges them to bring their best.

For every meal purchased at the event, $1 will be donated to the Sizzle SWFL FGCU Food & Beverage Scholarship. This amazing fundraising event was designed to support local high school students who are interested in pursuing a career in foodservice management from the Florida Gulf Coast University’s School of Resort & Hospitality Management. 

Naples International Film Festival (October 21-24)

If you are passionate about film, this is one event you cannot afford to miss. The Naples International Film Festival (NIFF) will take place from October 21-24, 2021. In 2019, the NIFF took home the 25 Coolest Film Festivals in the World award from MovieMaker Magazine.

The NIFF has been bringing amazing films to Naples for 13 years and counting. This year they have partnered with Artis-Naples to bring you more than 60 international movie screenings over the four-day festival. Sometimes the directors and other talented artists will make an appearance on the Naples red carpet film extravaganza.

During the festival, you will get to see domestic and international narrative films, documentaries, and short films from both established and up-and-coming filmmakers. The opening night will take place at the Kimberly K. Querrey and Louis A. Simpson Cultural Campus. The additional screenings will take place at theaters throughout the city.
